In line with its
traditional activities,ETL offers the following services to
companies that need to fulfil the above mentioned obligations:
performance of all the tests necessary for the
verification of the conformance with the requirements of the
Directive;
issue of a document attesting such conformity;
preparation of a form that the manufacturer can use as
declaration of conformity;
support in the preparation of the technical
documentation required by EC Directive 93/68, to be made
available to the relevant surveillance authorities. This
documentation may be deposited with IMQ and requested in the
case of control by the authorities;
as notified body, issue of a report of conformity to the
Directive to be used in case of disputes involving
electrical products, as provided for by article 8.2 of
Directive 73/23. (Article 6, Law 791, 1977).
